Very windy again for day 2 so waited for the tide to come in and launched from the house again. Not a good start to the session as I fell in the shallow water where the ring of rocks are at low tide and the waves were breaking and the wind was lighter. Unfortunately after a few rinsings the mast snapped. I then had half an hour swim back to the beach with my kit, a walk back to the house for the car to drive downwind to the access point and pick up the kit. I then rigged again with a different mast to head back out again. This time I got out the back OK. I was enjoying sailing around when this monster wave appeared from nowhere and started growing. So I decided it was safest to get back in front of it rather than try to get over it. It must have been well over mast high though I didn't stop for a close look! It was a great ride back in at speed with the monster chasing me. After that the wind dropped a bit so it was time to rest. Only 4 stars because it isn't perfect breaking a mast :)
